Qualicum Beach Foreshore

A west-facing pebbled shore that lights up at sunset. Westwood-style benches the length of the waterfront, a heritage seawall promenade, and a bandstand that hosts free concerts on summer Sundays.
Attraction

World Parrot Refuge

A sanctuary on Highway 4A for over 600 rescued parrots, macaws and cockatoos. Indoor walk-through; great rainy-day visit. Donation-based; volunteers do most of the welcome.
Garden

Milner Gardens & Woodland

Ten acres of rhododendrons, ornamental trees and woodland trails ending at an oceanfront tea house. Owned and operated by Vancouver Island University. A favourite of the Royal Family — visited by Charles in 1973.
