The wide sandy beach at the centre of town — host to the international sandcastle festival, a kids splash park, a long pier, a sea-walk and the Lions playground. The most-walked stretch of sand on the Oceanside.

Milner Gardens & Woodland

Ten acres of rhododendrons, ornamental trees and woodland trails ending at an oceanfront tea house. Owned and operated by Vancouver Island University. A favourite of the Royal Family — visited by Charles in 1973.
